I spent Saturday night at the rodeo for Katie's bachelorette party. I love the rodeo. Whenever I go, I wish I was a rodeo girl. Not someone who actually competes in the rodeo, but a real country girl with rhinestones on my pockets, rhinestones on my belt, tank top, and jeans that aren't tucked into my boots. They're so cool!
My favorite part of the rodeo is when they line all of the kids up and then send a pig out to run wild. I laugh so so so hard! Oh my gosh, it is one of my top ten favorite things in the world. If you've never been to a rodeo, let me explain how it works. The rodeo peeps tie a ribbon around the pig (or sheep)'s tail. The other night they were super redneck and just stuck a piece of duck tape to the pig. They let the pig free and it runs for its life. The kids chase it. Basically, the strong survive and the weak are left to trip on their flip flops - face first in the dirt. The little boy in the picture above decided to strike a pose rather than chase the pig like a clown.
It was so hilarious and so perfect. Congratulations to Katie and Mitchell! I can't wait for June!
